What a productive past few weeks we have had. The last week of July the kids and I spent the week at our church participating in VBS ( Vacation Bible School). The children learned songs, made crafts and had Bible studies to learn more about Jesus and his character. At the end of the week the church through an end of VBS party. The had water balloons, fire hydrate party, bounce house and hotdogs. I was so sad I had to leave early that day, but grateful that their daddy took the afternoon off so the two oldest could stay and experience it.
The reason why I was unable to stay for the end VBS celebration is I had to take Mr. P my three year old to the eye doctor. The Doctor had discover that one of his eyes may not be working right during his three year old check up. During the eye Dr. appt on July 1st it was confirmed that he has amblyopia and need to wear glasses and a patch over his right eye for two hours a day. This had been the challenge to say the least. We left on July 2nd to Colorado, so trying to patch on vacation was very difficult. In his wise three year old vision, he thinks the patch needs to go on his bad eye, since it has the boo boo. I am hoping once his glasses come in it will help. Any tips are welcome.
I will write another blog post about the things we did in Colorado. But while there I finished my Bachelors degree from Liberty University in a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in Christian Counseling. This is the first time in eight years that I will not be going to school for any reason. I am so looking forward to spending more quality time with my children, getting them back on track with homeschooling, and working getting back into shape and taking care of myself. I also want to learn to sew ( quilting especially), play the piano and recently took up crocheting. In the mean time we are taking this week to rest and recover from our vacation.
Blessing Until Next Time,
Gina
